2. Best Time to Visit Kratie

Kratie experiences a tropical climate with distinct wet and dry seasons.

  • Dry Season (November to April): This is the peak tourist season in Cambodia, offering warm and sunny weather with little rain. The dry season is ideal for outdoor activities such as boat trips on the Mekong River, exploring historical sites, and watching the Irrawaddy dolphins, as water levels are lower and wildlife spotting is easier.
  • Wet Season (May to October): During the wet season, Kratie sees frequent rainfall, which makes the surrounding landscape lush and vibrant. However, some roads may become flooded, and certain activities may be affected by the weather. If you don’t mind the rain and prefer fewer crowds, this can still be a good time to visit for a more peaceful experience.

The best time to visit the beautiful city is the dry season ( from November to April). During this period, tourists can experience all the beauty of Kratie without the difficulty of the weather.
