Asia Viva Travel at IFTM Top Resa 2026: Highlights from Paris

From September 15 to 17, 2026, Asia Viva Travel exhibited at IFTM Top Resa in Paris, one of France’s largest trade shows for the travel industry. For three days, our team welcomed travel agencies, tour operators, partners and travelers at stand C026, Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
It was a chance to see old friends, start new partnerships and share what we know best: private, tailor-made trips across Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. Here is a look back at those three days.

Meet the team we sent to Paris

Three people represented Asia Viva Travel at the show:
• Mrs. Linda Dao (Linh), Co-founder and Sales & Marketing Director. Linda leads our sales and marketing strategy and looks after our relationships with partners.

• Mrs. Yen, Sales Team Leader for the French-speaking market. Yen works every day with French-speaking travelers and partners to design their trips in Southeast Asia.

• Mr. Gérard Establier, our representative in France. Based in Nantes, Gérard keeps our team in Asia close to our partners in France.

Having our own people at the stand matters to us. We are a local agency, and we want partners to talk directly with the team that will take care of their travelers.

Three days of meetings at stand C026

Over three days, we caught up with long-time partners and met many new agencies, tour operators and travel professionals. We also talked with travelers who were already planning their next trip to Asia.

Most conversations were about Vietnam, our home and the heart of our work. Laos and Cambodia came up often too, especially with travelers who want to combine two or three countries in one trip.

We talked about destinations, itinerary ideas, local experiences and the best time to travel. With agencies and tour operators, we also started new talks about B2B partnerships and trips for different types of travelers.

Why we inspect before we recommend

Asia Viva Travel is a local travel agency based in Hanoi. We design private, tailor-made trips across Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand.
Being on the ground lets us follow how each destination changes, meet our local partners often and check experiences ourselves. Over the years, our team has carried out more than 1,000 inspections of hotels, boutique stays, routes, restaurants, activities and local experiences.

We drive the routes, stay in the hotels, talk with our partners and try the activities, so we know what a trip is really like. You can see how this works in our Ha Giang inspection trip from 2025.
Our rule is simple: before we recommend an experience, we want to know it first. This first-hand knowledge helps us give clear, honest advice to travelers and to the agencies that work with us. It is also what we brought to Paris.

Ms. Linda Dao on RFI

One highlight of the fair was an interview with RFI (Radio France Internationale) in Vietnamese. Linda Dao spoke openly about what 2026 has looked like for tourism businesses in Vietnam.

Official figures count arrivals at the border. On the ground, many local agencies, including ours, saw fewer bookings in the first half of the year. Since late June, bookings have picked up again, with partners confirming trips for late 2026 and 2027.
The biggest change, Linda explained, is when people book. “Travelers used to confirm their trip three to six months ahead. Now many decide just a month or two before they go,” she said. They wait to check flights and how stable the international situation looks before they commit.
For our team, the interview was a chance to share an honest, local view of tourism in Vietnam with a much wider audience.

IFTM Top Resa 2026 is over, but the conversations that started in Paris are just beginning. Our team is back in Asia, following up with new partners, inspecting new places and building new experiences across Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand.
Paris was not our only fair. This year we also met partners and travelers at IMTM 2026 in Tel Aviv, and in 2025 at BIT Milano and TTG Travel Experience in Rimini.
