Lalita Tam Coc Resort & Spa is located approximately 3 km from the Tam Coc boat pier, making it a suitable accommodation choice for travelers seeking a peaceful retreat close to nature.

The rooms are designed in a simple and minimalist style, featuring white-painted walls combined with soft yellow lighting that creates a warm and comfortable atmosphere. However, it is worth noting that adding an extra bed may make the room feel slightly cramped, as the space between the extra bed and the main bed can be quite limited. All essential in-room amenities are fully provided, ensuring a comfortable stay.

One important point that I consider is that the entrance road to the resort is paved with gravel and relatively narrow. Guests are therefore encouraged to request assistance from the resort staff when transporting luggage. While the access road is small, it opens into a spacious and beautifully landscaped garden area, offering fresh air, lush greenery, and a large outdoor swimming pool for guests to enjoy.

I was particularly impressed by the hospitality and professionalism of the staff. Their friendly and attentive service stood out, along with their elegant uniforms featuring traditional Vietnamese ao dai, which left a strong and memorable impression.

2. Aravinda Hotels ( 4 stars)

After speaking with the hotel staff, I learned that the hotel was newly built shortly after the Covid-19 pandemic, with a clear focus on serving the inbound travellers. I think that is the reason why my first  impression is that both the interior design and spatial layout feel very new, reflecting modern architectural trends and a well-maintained atmosphere.

As someone who values tranquility, I particularly appreciated the peaceful and relaxing ambiance here. The space feels calm and open, with spacious rooms, an outdoor garden planted with trees and vegetables, and a thoughtfully recreated Vietnamese countryside setting, which adds a charming and authentic touch. The main highlight of the property is the large swimming pool located at the center of the garden, creating a refreshing focal point for relaxation.

Another advantage is the hotel’s convenient location near Thung Nham Ecotourism Area, just approximately 500 meters away, allowing guests to visit easily. The hotel is also located about 4.9 km from Bich Dong Pagoda and the Tam Coc boat pier, making it a suitable option for travelers who plan to explore Tam Coc while dedicating additional time to discover Thung Nham.

One small point to note is that guests are advised to bring mosquito repellent, as the spacious garden area and swimming pool may result in a higher presence of mosquitoes.

 

 

3. Hidden Charm Hotel and Resorts ( 4 stars)

For travelers who appreciate mountain views, Hidden Charm Resort is well worth considering. Compared to other 4-star hotels in Ninh Binh that I surveyed, the room quality here is quite solid, with interiors largely crafted from wooden materials, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Thanks to its spacious property layout, the resort features extensive garden areas along with a large swimming pool, adding to the sense of openness and comfort. What truly stands out, as mentioned earlier, is the panoramic view of mountains and Vietnamese rice fields visible from the hotel. The scenery is genuinely impressive and offers a peaceful, immersive experience in nature.

 

 

4. La Sen Village – Tam Cốc Urban Resort

La Sen Village – Tam Coc Urban Resort is also a solid option within the 4-star accommodation category. In fact, from a personal perspective, I would rate the guest rooms at La Sen slightly higher than those at Hidden Charm, thanks to their well-curated, elegant interior design. This impression may also be influenced by the fact that the resort has been recently built, giving the overall space a fresh and contemporary feel.

However, as the property is still relatively new, the garden areas are not yet fully lush. I genuinely hope that within the next six months, the resort will continue to enhance its landscaping, with more trees planted and existing greenery given time to grow, bloom, and bear fruit.

I am truly looking forward to seeing the upcoming improvements at La Sen Village – Tam Coc Urban Resort, as the property is currently undergoing further development and expanding its number of guest rooms. With its convenient location approximately 600 meters from the Tam Coc boat pier, it holds strong potential to become an increasingly attractive accommodation choice in the area.

 

 

5. Scenic Mountain Ecolodge Ninh Binh

During this site inspection, in order to expand accommodation options and cover more properties located near Tam Coc and Hang Mua, I also visited Scenic Mountain Ecolodge Ninh Binh. What impressed me most was not so much the mountain view emphasized in the lodge’s name, but rather its small yet beautifully maintained garden, filled with lush greenery and flowers, creating a very comfortable and pleasant atmosphere.

That said, there are a few points worth noting. While the property itself is charming, it is quite limited in terms of room availability. In addition, as the hotel collaborates with multiple travel agencies and online booking platforms, it tends to be frequently fully booked and relatively busy. The lodge also features a stylish bistro and café at the front, which attracts walk-in visitors for dining and photo opportunities. As a result, the area can become somewhat noisy at times, and travelers who prioritize tranquility may wish to take this into consideration.

 

 

6. Homestay Chez Hiep

Many travelers may feel somewhat hesitant when choosing to stay at a homestay, however Homestay Chez Hiep may well change that perception. Here, guests have the opportunity to interact directly with the hosts, a welcoming couple who speak both French and English. They live on the same premises as the homestay, allowing guests to meet them frequently. During my visit, they were extremely warm and engaging, and through our conversations, I discovered many highly local dining spots and attractions that I might not have found otherwise.

Due to its relatively limited size, the homestay offers around 15 rooms along with a small garden featuring a variety of plants. Despite the compact layout, the overall atmosphere remains peaceful and pleasant, and feedback from previous guests has generally been very positive. To further enhance the guest experience, I suggested that the hosts consider using essential oil diffusers or light fragrance treatments to create a more relaxing ambiance.

For travelers planning to explore Tam Coc, this homestay is certainly worth considering, as it is located very close to the central Tam Coc area, offering both convenience and an authentic local experience.
