Among the many conversations we had at IMTM 2026 in Tel Aviv, one stood out in a way we didn’t expect.
During the two days at Expo Tel Aviv, Mr. Phong Dang — Co-founder and Director of Asia Viva Travel — was invited to sit down for a dedicated interview with Sir Yoram Ray Naor: Honorary Consul General, Vice President of the Ambassador’s Club of Israel, and Vice President of the Latin America–Israel Chamber of Commerce.

What made this moment special wasn’t just the title on his business card. It was the fact that Mr. Naor knows Vietnam — not as a tourist, but as someone who has been genuinely experienced the country for years. He has previously welcomed a Vietnamese Prime Ministerial delegation to Israel, and helped facilitate a collaboration between Israel and FPT, one of Vietnam’s leading technology corporations. Vietnam, for him, is not a destination. It’s a relationship built on genuine warmth.
So when he sat down with Mr. Phong, his questions came from a real curiosity — and real care. It had been a while since he last visited Vietnam, and you could feel that he genuinely missed it. He wanted to know: How is tourism doing? How has Vietnam changed? How are Vietnamese businesses growing on the international stage?

It was the kind of conversation that reminded us why we love doing this work.
For us, it was a quiet but meaningful honor. IMTM 2026 brought together representatives from across the globe — and out of everyone there, Mr. Naor chose to sit down with us. To be trusted with that conversation, with someone of his experience and standing, is not something we take for granted.
We are a locally based team in Hanoi, with over 26 years of experience in the travel industry. We don’t take on more than we can do well. And moments like this one remind us that the trust people place in us — whether it’s a traveler planning their first trip to Southeast Asia, or a figure like Mr. Naor giving us his time — is something we always want to be worthy of.
If you’re thinking about visiting Vietnam, Laos, or Cambodia — we’d be glad to be part of your journey.

For two meaningful days on February 3rd and 4th, Asia Viva Travel had the honor of participating in IMTM 2026 – the largest tourism fair in Israel – held at Expo Tel Aviv. At Booth No.18, our small team from Vietnam warmly welcomed travel partners, tour operators, and travelers curious about Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. […]
