Hello, I’m Vicky, a proud member of the Asia Viva Travel team. With deep pride in Vietnam and a true passion for travel, we have always worked with our hearts, guided by love for our homeland. From this spirit, our mission goes beyond tourism – we strive to create positive values and give back to society through the fruits of our honest work.

For us, every journey is not only about discovering beautiful destinations but also about spreading kindness, sharing happiness, and making Vietnam a brighter place for all. Along the way, we are deeply grateful for the opportunities to contribute as a team, and our meaningful volunteer actions have continued year after year.

While we dream of doing many things to give back, we recognize the limits of our capacity. That’s why we chose to focus on the most vulnerable group in society – children. Our deepest wish is to help them avoid the harshest struggles of life: hunger, lack of education, and untreated illness. These are the stories of our shared journey – stories of resilience, compassion, and connection. And this journey is not over; we will continue to update and share our efforts throughout 2024 and 2025.

Supporting Linh’s Journey to a Better Life (24/2/2024 – 6/2024)

On February 24, 2024, we had the honor of supporting Linh, a young girl suffering from scoliosis. Linh was born and raised in Me Linh, a suburban district of Hanoi where most families depend on farming and flower cultivation. Life there is tough, and for Linh’s small family—just her and her mother – it was even more challenging. Her mother, a single parent, struggled with chronic illness yet continued to work tirelessly, catching crabs and snails to earn just enough to keep their household afloat.

Perhaps it was this hardship that shaped Linh’s remarkable resilience. Despite her curved spine and the pain it brought, she remained a diligent student, mature beyond her years, never giving up on learning. But the cost of the spinal surgery she desperately needed was far beyond what her family could ever afford.

That is when Asia Viva Travel stepped in. From the moment we knew her story, we were determined to accompany Linh and her mother on this journey. With our financial assistance, the family was able to prepare for her surgery. In June 2024, at Viet Duc Hospital in Hanoi, Linh underwent the procedure and it was successful. Until now, the Asia Viva Travel’s team and Lính; family still keep in touch not only to understand Linh’s health situation but also to accompany the family longer, to encourage her mentally as well as provide material support if needed.

Health Department support for children in Viet Duc hospital

On July 16, 2024, Asia Viva Travel extended its journey of compassion by donating directly to Viet Duc Hospital – a small but meaningful fund dedicated to children from families in difficult circumstances.

Thanks to Linh’s story, we came to know about this special program for young patients. For many children from rural areas like Linh, simply reaching a hospital in Hanoi is already a challenge; the cost of examinations, surgeries, and post-treatment care often becomes an unbearable burden for their families. Some parents are forced to make heartbreaking choices—whether to continue treatment or give up, because they simply cannot afford it.

Through this fund, we hoped to ease that pain, even just a little – helping children receive the surgeries they need to recover faster, and ensuring their families have the support to take proper care of them afterwards. For us, this was more than financial assistance; it was a way to stand with these children, to remind them and their families that they are not alone, and that a brighter, healthier future is possible.

Donation for Typhoon Yagi (7/9/2024 – 11/9/2024)

On September 7, 2024, Super Typhoon Yagi—the most powerful storm to hit Vietnam in the past 70 years—ravaged the northern provinces, leaving millions of families in despair. Thousands of homes collapsed or were torn apart, farmlands were submerged, and countless children and elderly people were left in precarious conditions.

Only four days later, on September 11, Asia Viva Travel and our staff mobilized quickly, coordinating 12 trucks of essential supplies to reach the hardest-hit provinces: Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Bac Giang, Soc Son, Yen Bai, and Lao Cai. Beyond food and daily necessities, we also provided small cash donations to help families take their first steps toward rebuilding. These trucks carried not just relief supplies, but also compassion, solidarity, and hope.

The journey was not easy. Roads were blocked by floods and landslides; in some villages, cars could no longer pass. We walked through mud and broken terrain to reach the most isolated homes, witnessing collapsed houses, torn-off rooftops, and heartbreaking scenes where some had lost loved ones to the floods. In those moments, every bag of rice, every bottle of water, every small gift of cash meant more than material aid – it was a lifeline of care, a message that they were not alone.

We know that what we offered was small compared to the immense losses people endured. Yet, we take pride in standing side by side with our fellow citizens in such a dark time. At Asia Viva Travel, we remain committed to carrying the spirit of solidarity, lending our strength to communities scarred by storms, and keeping alive the belief that together, we can rebuild and rise again.

Scholarships for Children in Remote Mountain Areas (5/10/2024)

On October 5, 2024, Asia Viva Travel extended our mission of giving back by investing in what we believe is the most powerful gift of all: education. In Nam Sin commune, Si Ma Cai district of Lao Cai province  – where daily life is marked by poverty and opportunity is scarce – we awarded four scholarships to local students.

For children in these remote northern highlands, life is full of obstacles. Meals are often simple and insufficient, homes remain fragile against the wind and rain, and in some villages, electricity or the internet is still a distant dream. Old customs and economic hardship sometimes keep children away from school, pushing them instead to work in the fields from an early age. Schools and hospitals are few and far between, and yet, the government has worked to build satellite schools, creating beacons of hope for young learners.

It was with this reality in mind that Asia Viva Travel chose to stand beside these children. A scholarship, for them, is far more than financial aid. It is a voice of encouragement, a recognition that their dreams matter, and a light guiding them to keep studying despite hardships. By supporting both their tuition and their schools, we aim not only to ease the burden but also to affirm their resilience and determination.

We believe that education is the bridge between present struggles and a brighter future. And through these small steps -these scholarships – we hope to empower mountain children to rise above adversity, to believe in themselves, and to carry forward the promise of a better tomorrow.

“Nuôi Em” Project (4/11/2023 – 2025)

With a commitment to donating 10% of our annual revenue to social causes, Asia Viva Travel has continued to uphold its mission of giving back to the community. On November 4, 2023, we proudly supported the “Nuoi Em” Project, a meaningful initiative aimed at improving the lives of children in remote mountain areas. Through this program, children receive not only nutritious meals but also better facilities and new schools, creating opportunities for them to access education and a brighter future.

And in this project, Asia Viva Travel is accompanying two children in Bao Loc district, Cao Bang province – the mountainous region of Northern Vietnam, Ban Duc Khai and Vuong Vinh Nhu. Hopefully, the two children can have delicious meals every day, have the opportunity to go to school and grow up in a positive environment.

In the future, we hope to have the opportunity to come to the children, meet them directly, encourage and reward the children who study hard, support them materially and especially support the schools so that the children have a better learning environment, and hope that the children will have more delicious and complete meals.

About the “Nuôi Em” Project

Founded in 2014 by Hoàng Hoa Trung and the Niềm Tin volunteer group, Nuôi Em is a charitable initiative with a simple yet powerful mission: to provide daily lunches and basic educational support for children in the remote highlands of Northwest Vietnam.

For many of these children, a single meal means more than nourishment—it is the encouragement that keeps them in school, the hope that their future can be different, and the relief that their families are not alone in hardship.

Through Nuôi Em, countless kindhearted individuals have joined hands to ease the burden of parents and give children the chance to walk the path of education with dignity and hope.

Donation for Typhoon Wipha (July 2025)

In July 2025, Typhoon Wipha – Storm No. 3 of the season—swept across Central Vietnam, striking Nghe An Province with devastating force. Villages were swallowed by floodwaters, fields submerged, homes torn apart, and families left clinging to what little they could save. Rescue teams braved dangerous waters to reach those stranded, carrying hope where despair threatened to overwhelm.

That year, Vietnam endured an unusual number of storms, each one leaving its mark, but for farmers in the Central region the losses cut especially deep. Many had to harvest their rice prematurely, evacuate with their livestock, and yet, despite their efforts, saw their livelihoods washed away. Crops drowned, animals perished, homes collapsed, and in the silence that followed, hunger and hardship lingered as power outages stretched on and food supplies ran thin.

Moved by this hardship, Asia Viva Travel extended financial support to help affected communities recover. Though modest, our contribution carried the weight of our solidarity – a testament to our commitment to standing with the people of Vietnam in their most vulnerable moments.

Support delivered with sincerity – directly to the people

Support delivered with sincerity – directly to the people

As we reflect on these journeys of compassion in 2024 and 2025, our hearts are filled with gratitude and hope.

Each step we’ve taken – whether holding Linh’s hand through her recovery, delivering aid to flood-ravaged villages, or lighting up a child’s dreams with a scholarship- has been a testament to the power of kindness. These moments remind us that even in the face of hardship, a single act of love can spark a brighter future.

To our cherished travelers, thank you. Your choice to explore Vietnam/Laos/Cambodia/Thailand with Asia Viva Travel has woven you into these stories of change. Every journey you take with us fuels our mission to give back, turning your adventures into lifelines for those in need. Together, we are not just traveling – we are building bridges of hope, one heart at a time. Let’s continue this beautiful journey, hand in hand, spreading love across Vietnam.
