After breakfast at your hotel, we leave the hotel at 8 am and take the road to Ben Tre Province in the Mekong delta. Upon arrival at Hung Vuong Pier (90km from Ho Chi Minh city), we will get on a boat and cruise along the Ben Tre River, one of the tributaries of the great Mekong in Vietnam. We will enjoy watching lively and bustling activities on the river like fishing and  bustle transportations.

We will stop at a brick factory to see how bricks are made manually in a traditional way. We will have our next stop at a coconut processing workshop, located along the canal. We will hop on a tuk-tuk and ride along a village path and stop at a local family for a traditional lunch.

After that, we will walk to a mat-weaving workshop before embarking on a small rowing-boat to travel along the palm tree canal back to Hung Vuong pier.

You will have a diner and stay overnight at a local homestay in Ben Tre.

In the morning, meet your guide and driver at your homestay and departure by car to An Binh Island. Enjoy the scenery of the Mekong Delta during the ride.

Arrival in An Binh, get ready for your bike ride. Your guide will provide you with bikes that fit your size and ensure they are in good condition. Start the bike ride through the magnificent landscapes of the Mekong Delta. Cross green orchards, coconut groves and small traditional villages.

Take a break for lunch at a local restaurant and taste typical dishes of the region.

Resume your bike ride to further explore An Binh Island, taking charming trails lined with coconut groves.

In the late afternoon, drive to Can Tho and check into your accommodation.

Overnight at a hotel in Can Tho.

In the morning, we will take an early boat trip to the well-known Cai Rang floating market. The largest one in the region, Cai Rang has a variety of boats stuffed with fruits and vegetables which are freshly gathered every day. After exploring the busy market, you will take a walk in Mr. Tu Dung’s orchard to taste fresh local tropical fruits. We will then visit a workshop where you will see how the local vermicelli is made.

As the adventure continues, we will visit Binh Thuy’s old house, the site of the 1992 film adaptation of Marguerite Duras’ novel L’Amant. We will then travel back to Ho Chi Minh City.

You will arrive in the city in the afternoon, free time for your  own visit or relax.

Return to Saigon.
