Itinerary

  • 8:00 am: Depart for Hung Yen province. We cross Chuong Duong bridge and turn towards Xuan Quan-Bat Trang dike, where we have the opportunity to admire the famous Xuan Quan flower growing village. We walk along the dike to see the peaceful life of local people living along it.
  • Visiting village Cao (Kim Dong district) – the cradle of traditional Vietnamese incense making. Here, many households still preserve the traditional craft of making incense with ingredients made entirely from herbs. You will be able to personally set incense, dry it, and learn traditional recipes for making handmade incense.
  • Visiting Mrs Chien’s family in Chua hamlet, Thien Phien (Tien Lu district) – a witness of the Vietnam War. She will tell you her life story and interesting stories about the impressive culture of Northern villages.
  • Experience: Being a real farmer doing farm work: preparing land to grow vegetables.
  • Lunch at Mrs Chien’s family with the typical scenery of the peaceful Northern countryside.
  • After lunch, we visit Mr. Luong Son Bac’s family in a 200-year-old knitting village in Thu Sy, an extremely rustic and peaceful craft village that still retains the ancient style of houses, clearly reflecting the ancient Northern culture.
  • 4:00 p.m: Get on the bus back to Hanoi (by Hanoi – Hai Phong highway). End of trip.
